As the Technical Manager, you will oversee the technical aspects of our products and, in cooperation with our expert teams of designers, developers, and project managers, ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, reliable solutions. You will participate in product development and delivery from design specification, prototyping, through development to final production and delivery. Most of the technical experts are in Brno, but you will collaborate closely with our HQ in Israel and our customers worldwide (mostly Europe).

This role requires a mix of leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of engineering principles across various disciplines. It offers a unique opportunity to participate directly in the innovations of our new and existing products used by customers around the world and to be part of a smaller company where each role has a broader scope and significantly contributes to the quality and success of the products and the company.

Bagira Tech is a Czech-Israeli company with 80 employees in Brno, which develops unique training simulators (SW and HW) for security forces. Our projects include, for example, the MAGNET system using a laser system to replace blank cartridges, simulators of professional military devices and others. HW development takes place completely in Brno, where we have teams of designers (electrical and mechanical), an assembly line and service support. SW development is in Brno and Israel.

Your mission: 

• Coordinate and manage a team of electronics and mechanical engineers, firmware and software developers, and prototype assembly technicians
• Align development efforts with the project management and production departments
• Compose system design requirement specifications and conduct design reviews internally and externally with our customers
• Manage the design, development, and integration processes, ensuring the delivery of required system parameters and functionality
• Read, evaluate, and produce technical documentation, such as system architecture, requirements specification documents, design reviews, and test reports
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including negotiating with native English speakers and customers from abroad 
• Cooperate with other departments, such as project management, production, and quality assurance, to ensure that all technical requirements are met and that projects are aligned with company objectives
• Maintain development and prototyping schedules and budgets
• Ensure the successful delivery of products to our customers
• Travel to customers and our offices abroad

Your experience: 

• University degree in Mechatronics, Cybernetics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or any related field
• Strong systematic approach and structured thinking capabilities
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Understanding of mechanical systems, embedded systems architecture, and digital electronics
• Proficiency in understanding and interpreting technical drawings, mechanical assemblies, electronics schematics, system architecture block diagrams, networking diagrams, and software architecture and flow diagrams
• Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing mechanical and electronic designs
• Advanced level of English (C1 or higher) 
• Experience with project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, with a focus on technical project delivery. 
• Ability to lead and mentor a technical team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
• Willingness to travel (2-3 weeks per Q)
