About The Position
Are you a skilled negotiator with a passion for procurement in high-stakes environments? Join our Global defense company as a Purchasing Specialist. Your role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, handling & supervising international shipments and ensuring compliance with defense procurement regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements.
- Locating new suppliers (service providers, hardware, software licenses, etc.), managing negotiations, drafting POs and agreements (Hebrew and English)
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
- Optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage international shipments to and from Bagira, according to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the defense industry, knowledge of procurement processes and compliance regulations - Must.
- At least 3 years' experience in international shipping – Must.
- Strong negotiation skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Familiarity with ERP and SAP systems, Excel and other office software skills is a must.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in drafting contracts (English and Hebrew) - an advantage
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
