About The Position
Bagira is a leader in the field of training and simulation systems with a track record of delivering high-end, customized, cost-effective solutions for mission readiness. Bagira’s simulators are being used by hundreds of thousands of soldiers at more than 40 sites worldwide.
Bagira is looking for a QA Lead to join our engineering team at Bagira.
As a QA Lead, you will work on our highly scalable, multi-disciplinary complex systems, collaborating closely with professionals across various units at Bagira. In this role, you will drive the quality and effectiveness of our testing processes, implement new testing methods, and ensure that our systems are set up to meet next-generation standards in technology.
What will your job look like
- Drive and ensure high-quality testing practices that meet work standards, industry requirements, and certifications across all Bagira systems and multiple projects.
- Develop, train, and guide the QA team in new and advanced testing methodologies to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Implement innovative testing methods to ensure that testing approaches align with current and future technological demands.
- Create comprehensive test specifications, test cases, and test automation suites to deliver robust, reliable systems.
- Identify and select effective testing tools to support project needs and maximize efficiency.
- Act as a mentor for the QA team, providing guidance on best practices and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other engineers and teams to foster a cohesive and efficient testing environment.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of proven experience in manual testing in a software technical environment with distributed systems.
- 2+ years of experience in a lead or senior QA role within the hi-tech industry.
- Strong documentation skills, with experience writing testing documents (STP, STD, STR, ATP, ATR, etc.).
- Experience working with customers to ensure quality alignment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and uphold high-quality standards.
- Experience leading automation and implementing software tools.
- Background in testing Windows desktop applications.
- Ability to work closely with developers and engineering specialists.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Basic knowledge of the defense and training industries.
- Familiarity with TFS (Team Foundation Server).
- Experience with systems of systems and distributed solutions.
